Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated President of the Republic of
Sierra Leone Ernest Bai Koroma on his re-election.
In his message of congratulations, Putin said he
is sure that all-round cooperation between Russia and Sierra Leone is in the
two peoples’ interests and will help to strengthen peace and stability in
Africa.
Koroma got almost 59 percent of the vote in November 17 elections. Notably, this was
the third presidential poll since the end of country’s civil war in year 2002.
