Russia, Iraq stress rejection of foreign interference in Syria’s affairs

Moscow: The Russian Foreign Ministry on Saturday said that Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zibari on the sidelines of the 67th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Syrian state news agency SANA reported.

In a statement, the Ministry stressed that the two sides stressed their rejection of foreign interference in the Syrian internal affairs and the importance of reaching a political solution for the crisis based on international law and Geneva agreement.

Earlier, India has rejected possibilities of any foreign interference in Syrian internal affairs but said that will optimistic to end the bloodshed.
