Zurich: A Grassroots football seminar has taken place at the Home of FIFA in Zurich from June 19-21. Forty FIFA instructors from more than 30 countries took part and shared their experience of managing the technical centre of a confederation or a football association.
The seminar was conducted by FIFA's Member Associations & Development Department and discussed the organisation and structure of Grassroots Programmes, with a view to broadening the experts' knowledge of the subject.
As part of the seminar, a FIFA Grassroots festival took place. The topics discussed during the workshop were put into practice with 60 children from the Letzikids football academy in Zurich and the Versoix school in Geneva.
The main aim of the various games, exercises and activities was for the 6-to-12-year-olds to have fun as well as get to know and enjoy the beautiful game.
