European Parliament to discuss Afghanistan, Middle East, Tibet, Africa and arms trade

Strasbourg: Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) will discuss the most salient current foreign policy issues with High Representative Catherine Ashton on Tuesday from 15:00. 

The debate will focus on the situation in the Middle East, including Syria, EU policy for Afghanistan, Tibet and developments in Democratic Republic of Congo. 

Parliament will also discuss the new EU special representative for human rights, the EU's annual human rights report and the UN Arms Trade Treaty.
