Arrested LeT terrorist Abu Jundal admits his role in 26/11 attacks

New Delhi: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Syed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal has admitted his role in 2008 Mumbai attacks.

During interrogations, he confessed that he had worked in close tandem with terror mastermind Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi.

Earlier, on 21st June, the Intelligence Branch took custody of Jundal on his deportation from Saudi Arabia at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. On 25th June, formally handed him over to Delhi Police, that announced the arrest, for him to be produced at the court for trial.

The arrest of Jundal is touted as the most significant development in the case since Kasab's arrest.
