Manhattan bank robbery: Cops seek info on suspect

New York: On December 29, 2014, at 3:15 p.m. the HSBC Bank located at 145 5th Avenue in Manhattan was robbed by an unknown white or light-skinned Hispanic suspect. The suspect presented a demand note and displayed a firearm and got cash from the teller. The suspect placed the money in a white shopping bag, dropped his firearm in the same bag, and fled the bank on foot heading southbound on 5th Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic male, approximately 5’5’’ to 5’7’’ tall, and 175 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white construction hard hat, yellow construction vest, maroon sweatshirt, black gloves, and dark pants. He was also wearing a white breathing mask.

A $5,000 reward is available for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 212-384-1000. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
