Salem bank robbery: FBI urges public to help identify suspect

Portland, Oregon: The FBI has urged for the public’s help identifying and locating the suspect who robbed the US Bank branch located at 3955 Center Street NE in Salem. The man walked into the bank, approached the teller counter, demanded cash, received an undisclosed amount of cash, and left the bank on foot, FBI said in a news release.

Witnesses describe him as:

    * White man
    * Age: Early 20s
    * Height: 5’6” to 5’7”
    * Build: Thin
    * Clothing: Red knit cap with a bill and a white and black pattern; black jacket; and dark-colored pants
    * Marks: Bruise under left eye
    * Other: May use the first name of “Timothy”

Anyone with information about the robber’s identity or location is asked to call the FBI in Portland at (503) 224-4181 (24 hours a day) or the FBI in Salem at (503) 362-6601 (during normal business hours.)
