Karachi: An unidentified man hurled a shoe at former Pakistani President
Pervez Musharraf outside the Sindh High Court on Friday, the shoe, however,
missed its target and Musharraf escaped unhurt.
According to media reports, the shoe was lobbed when he was
on his way out from the court after being granted extension of protective bail
for 15 days.
Musharraf had reached here to seek an extension of the protective
bail granted on March 22, two days before he returned to Pakistan.
TV footage showed the shoe flying through the air and
landing in a group of people in front of Musharraf.
It could not immediately be ascertained whether the man was
detained.
Interestingly, it was not first time when a shoe was hurled at
Musharraf. In 2011, a man tried to hurl his shoe at him when he was addressing
a gathering in Britain.
