US drone attack kills 8 militants in northwest Pak: Officials

Islamabad: At least 8 militants have been killed in separate U.S. drone strikes Pakistan's north-western tribal area on early Tuesday, Pakistani officials said.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity Pakistani intelligence official confirmed drones attacks as they said the compound where the missiles were fired was located near the town of Mir Ali in the North Waziristan tribal area that killed five militants and wounded four others.

Three militants in the village of Hasookhl said to have been killed in another attack which came in less than one hour after the first assail.

The area is a suspected haven for Taliban and Al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorists.

Identities of those who have been killed have not been yet revealed by the officials.
