Interpol condoles death of 26 people in Newtown school massacre

Lyon, France: INTERPOL Secretary General Ronald K. Noble has extended his condolences on behalf of law enforcement worldwide after 26 people were killed, the majority of them children, in a gun attack at a primary school in the US state of Connecticut.

“On behalf of the international police community, INTERPOL extends its heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the innocent victims who perished in this truly harrowing and senseless tragedy,” said Secretary General Ronald K. Noble from Japan where he is attending a ministerial conference on nuclear safety.

Reports said 20 children mostly aged between five and ten were among the victims in the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. The gunman was also among the dead according to police sources.
