New Delhi: Leaving no respite for Congress, Ramdev on Saturday announced to launch a fresh agitation against the government from October 2, that will last till next Lok Sabha elections in view with focusing attention on upcoming Assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

Addressing a press conference here yoga guru Baba Ramdev slammed Congress over coal block allocation scam, saying it has created a record in corruption.

Speaking about his proposed agitation he said Ramdev he will continue his work despite Congress criticism and will fight for a change in power and system.

Seeking the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Ramdev told a press conference, “If the PM is honest then who is dishonest?”

Ramdev alleged the Congress has garnered "gold medal in scams" and described it as a "sinking ship".

Though the location of launch of the fresh campaign was not announced at the press meet but Ramdev asserted to start the programme from Himachal Pradesh as he said the immediate priority is the upcoming Assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

When asked why he was shying away from pointing fingers at BJP, whose state governments were also named in the CAG report that he used to target Congress, he said, "Many parties are involved in this. But Congress is in the leadership. They have got the gold medal in scams. Whoever is involved in corruption should be punished."

"This whole allocation should be cancelled," he added.

He alleged the amount involved in the coal scam was much more than the figure of Rs.1.86 lakh crore provided by CAG and Congress received commission for it.
