Yuvraj Singh makes the cut for T20 World Cup squad

Mumbai: Yuvraj Singh, who just has recovered from lung cancer, has been picked up for the World T20 that would take place in September this year in Sri Lanka.

Harbhajan Singh and L Balaji have also made a comeback into the 15-member team which was announced today. 

The decision were taken in a meeting of senior selection committee of BCCI held at the Cricket Centre, Mumbai, earlier on Friday.


The meeting was also called to pick the Indian teams for the Test series against New Zealand, the T20 International series against New Zealand and ICC World T20 2012 in Sri Lanka, and the India ‘A’ squad for the tour of New Zealand.

Manoj Tiwary, Rohit Sharma, Ashok Dinda are among others in young who have been selected for the T-20.

Meanwhile, VVS Laxman retained his place in the Test team that would take on New Zealand this month.
Lanky paceman Ishant Sharma and middle-order batsman Cheteshwar Pujara, who were out of the Test team due to injury, also made it to the Test team.

Notably, Ajinkya Rahane can be seen performing in the test squad first time.
