London 2012 Olympics: Saina Nehwal earns India third medal

London: Indian ace shuttler Saina Nehwal on Saturday bagged bronze medal in the women's singles badminton match.

She was declared winner in the play-off after her Chinese opponent Xin Wang retired hurt due to a knee injury with the match at 18-21, 0-1.

Notably, as on 04 August 2012, India has won 3 medals including a silver and 2 bronze which equals its best performance in terms of total medals achieved 4 years ago at Beijing.
