Pune: A series of bomb blasts rocked the Indian city of Pune on Wednesday.

According to media reports, the four low-intensity explosions occurred on Jangali Maharaj road (JM road), in front of a McDonald's restaurant, in front of Balgandharva auditorium, opposite a KFC restaurant and near Garware College.

As per officials, only one person has been injured in the incident - the very person who was allegedly carrying one of the detonators.

The newly appointed Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has termed the serial blasts, which took place between 7.27 pm and 8.15 pm, as “well-planned”.

Notably, Shinde was scheduled to visit the Tilak Smarak temple in the city on Wednesday evening but the trip was cancelled due to some reasons.

Police has been put on high-alert in the capital Delhi.
