Barasat (West Bengal): In an another outrageous incident
a girl student of class VIII was allegedly stripped and searched before her classmates
by a teacher on the charges of stealing money.
It was a school of Gopalnagar in
North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal where the incident has come as major embarrassment
for West Bengal government.
Pabitra Mondal, the girl’s father has lodged an FIR on Friday alleging that the teacher Rupali Dey of Gopalnagar Giribala Balika Vidyalaya took his daughter to the staff room and stripped and searched her on July 11, officials said.
The officials has said that it was being investigated.
A case under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage modesty) and section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC has been lodged against the teacher, police said.
