Egyptians vote on final day to pick Mubarak successor

Monday, June 18, 2012
Cairo: Egyptians on Sunday voted for the second and final day of a run-off presidential poll.

In this grand finale, only Former Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq and the Muslim Brotherhood's Mohammed Morsi remain in the race.

Notably, the election follows a week in which the military imposed de facto martial law and Hosni Mubarak-appointed judges dissolved the Parliament.

The oath ceremony of new President is slated to be on July 1.
