[Video] Brussels: Hollande supporters hopeful of 'change'

Brussels: François Hollande has been elected as the next president of France. In Brussels, Hollande supporters celebrated this victory by organizing various events.

“This election will concretely change daily life, it is not about winning an election and party, but about changing people’s life. We're full of hope, I'm very happy, we needed to change, for more hope, more justice, more humanity and solidarity, and I'm so glad we achieve our goal,” said one of the supporters.

Hannes Swoboda, president of the S&D Group in the European Parliament, congratulated Hollande, he said, “I was very affected when I was there rue de Solferino the headquarter of socialist in France, with many young people and many European flags, it was also an European event the election of François Hollande.”

He added, “I think we have to fight for a real growth package now, to generate growth, of course growth in a way of sustainability, and to create jobs, and finally the budgets will be balanced as well.”
