Denmark: MEPs will be meeting their counterparts from the Africa-Caribbean-Pacific (ACP) countries during the 23rd session of the EU-ACP Joint Parliamentary Assembly, from Monday 28 May to Wednesday 30 May, in Denmark. Co-chaired by Belgian Liberal-Democrat Louis Michel, Parliament's ACP delegation head, and Mr Musikari Kombo, president of the ACP Parliamentary Assembly, the meeting will consider agricultural product prices, the social and environmental consequences of mining as well as climate change and energy. The consequences of the Arab Spring, particularly events in Libya, on ACP countries will also be on the agenda, as will the situation in Sudan and Nigeria.
Commissioners Andris Piebalgs, Connie Hedegaard and Karel De Gucht will also participate, alongside representatives from the Danish Presidency.
